 This saree wins you over with quiet richness instead of shine. A classic red body is dotted with delicate floral buttis and finished with konia motifs, the graceful corner buttis of traditional Banarasi design. The result feels refined, timeless and effortlessly classy.

The saree is handwoven in Banaras using the kadhua technique, one of the most skilled of Banarasi weaves. The weaver hand-weaves each motif individually, running the thread through that motif alone rather than across the full width. Every butti stands out crisp and well defined, and the reverse stays clean with no loose floats. That's the sign of a true kadhua.

The borders are a highlight, with meenakari work running along the edges. In meenakari, coloured threads are woven into the zari motifs, so they read like enamel inlay on jewellery. The pallu carries this artistry into a vintage design, where meenakari detailing and lovely paisleys come together in a rich, old-world composition.
