SILK MARK CERTIFIED
This saree takes its cue from vintage Banaras, where the peacock has long been a favourite motif for festive and bridal weaves. Here, peacock buttis in silver and gold zari are set across a vivid rani pink body. Against this bold, joyful pink, the two metals catch the light together and give the saree a radiant, celebratory glow.
The saree is handwoven in Banaras using the kadhua technique, among the most labour-intensive of Banarasi weaves. The weaver works each peacock by hand as a separate motif, passing the zari through that butti alone rather than across the whole width. The result is crisp, raised motifs and a clean reverse with no loose floats. That's the hallmark of a true kadhua.
A floral zari border runs along both edges, framing the drape in delicate blooms. The pallu opens into a rich, dressy spread of floral zari work, giving the saree a grand, old-world finish.
With the charm of a vintage heirloom and a colour made for celebration, it's perfect for festivals, weddings and every occasion that deserves something special.
