There is something timeless about a kolam drawn at the threshold, intricate lines coming together to welcome an auspicious beginning.
Inspired by this beautiful everyday tradition, this Ilkal cotton saree begins with a warm sandal beige body, handblock printed with delicate kolam-inspired motifs. Intricate yet understated, the motifs bring a quiet festive character to the saree without taking away from its effortless elegance.
A sky blue Chikki Paras border frames the earthy beige in a refreshing contrast, before giving way to the most striking detail of the saree, a luminous ivory silk pallu. The interplay of sandal, sky blue and ivory feels wonderfully serene, while the silk pallu adds just enough richness for a celebration.
It is the kind of saree that doesn't need to announce its presence. Classy, rooted and unmistakably Indian, it carries the warmth of tradition in a palette that feels beautifully contemporary.
